DODOMA: THE Tanzanian government has allocated a plot in Dodoma for the construction of the Kenyan High Commission’s offices to facilitate its operations in the country.

This move is part of efforts to strengthen diplomatic ties between Tanzania and Kenya, while also supporting the presence of friendly nations’ diplomatic missions in Tanzania.

The announcement was made on May 27, 2025, in Dodoma during a special meeting organized by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and East African Cooperation. The meeting brought together ambassadors from 13 different countries to discuss investment opportunities available in Tanzania.

Speaking at the event, the Kenyan High Commissioner to Tanzania, Isaack Njenga, expressed his gratitude to the Tanzanian President, Dr. Samia Suluhu Hassan, for granting the embassy such a significant piece of land.

He noted that the gesture reflects the Tanzanian government’s strong commitment to promoting international relations.

“Many of us have benefited from being allocated sizable plots of land to establish our embassies. These are not small plots, but large enough to accommodate the High Commission’s offices and even residential housing for envoys and their staff. We are truly grateful to the government of Tanzania for this exceptional hospitality,” said High Commissioner Njenga.
