KILIMANJARO: LEADERS of various institutions have been urged to prioritise transparency, particularly in sharing financial information, to prevent conflicts and promote unity.

Moshi District Administrative Secretary (DAS), Mr Shaban Mchovu, made the call during the opening of the inaugural meeting of the Kilimanjaro Painters and Construction Workers Association (CHAMARUKI) in Moshi, Kilimanjaro Region.

“Transparency, especially regarding income and the utilisation of institutional funds, is crucial. If you fulfil these obligations, your institutions will prosper and remain sustainable,” Mr Mchovu stated, emphasising the importance of collaboration to safeguard unity.

CHAMARUKI Secretary, Mr Casmiry Toto, outlined the goals of the Annual General Meeting, which included adopting a draft of the new constitution and discussing professional opportunities for members.

“This meeting aims to unite technicians in the construction industry, enabling them to amplify their voices, enhance collaboration with the government and ensure the quality of their work,” Mr Toto explained.
