DODOMA: TANZANIA is doing well in environment conservation following the commendable job of the environmental experts the country registered in a four-year period.

According to a statement by the National Environment Management Council (NEMC), 1,023 environmental experts have been registered in the four-year tenure of the Samia Suluhu Hassan’s presidency.

Additionally, the council has issued performance certificates to 503 experts who met the required standards in accordance with the 2021 Environmental Experts Registration and Performance Regulations.

NEMC Director General, Dr. Immaculate Semesi, made these remarks while presenting a report on the council’s performance over the past four years under President Samia Suluhu Hassan’s leadership. She addressed journalists in Dodoma today.

Dr. Semesi highlighted that the new regulations have improved efficiency by allowing continuous registration through an electronic system, which has streamlined the application process.
